These five properties are current examples of the great deals that are out there for buyers who are willing to spend some sweat equity.  In the current examples, the List Price is the original price the property was offered at by HUD.  The Accepted Price is the price that was offered by the buyer that was accepted by HUD.  The Estimated Cost to Rehab is the amount of money HUD suggests it will take to repair the deficiencies and bring the property up to average condition.  The Realized Value is the current average value of this home after all the repairs are completed.  In other words, this is the 'sweat equity'.  In many instances, the properties are eligible for the construction financing that allows the buyer to finance the repairs in their mortgage so the buyers do not have their own cash to fix up the property.
